My Story

Photography has always been a part of my life, and it continues to bring me so much joy! I absolutely love what I do for a living.

I’ve been married to my husband, John, since 2001, and we’re raising two amazing daughters, Anna and Lily. We also have three dogs — Willow, Winston, and Gigi.

In January of 2019, we came to Arizona on vacation. While we were here, we fell so in love with the area that we all just knew we needed a change.

Within weeks, everything fell into place. My husband got a job offer (two weeks before we were set to move — which wasn’t scary at all, haha) and our Wisconsin home sold in six days.

In just 18 weeks, we packed up and started a new chapter in Arizona.

My daughter actually found our home online, and our realtor helped us buy it. We saw it for the first time two days before closing!

When we first moved here, we really didn’t know anyone. Then… COVID hit. I went from having a good income back home to making only $12,000 that year. My income was absolutely dismal, and it felt so defeating. I went out and got a minimum-wage job just so I could do something… anything.

Then one day I saw a realtor in my neighborhood ask if anyone knew how to shoot real estate. How hard could it be after doing portraits? Well—turns out it’s completely different, and the very first home I photographed was an absolute disaster. But do you know what? I went on to teach myself everything I know now, and that very first realtor I worked with still hires me today.

I started seeing video become very popular, but I had no clue how to do that on my pro camera. Video is so different from photography, but I was determined to learn how to become a videographer too! It was incredibly hard to learn… but now I can say I absolutely love filming jobs just as much as photographing them.
